The Line 6 POD Pro is the professional rackmount evolution of the classic "red kidney bean" desktop unit that revolutionized digital amp modeling. Housed in a robust 2U chassis, the POD Pro offers 32 classic and modern amp models and 16 digital effects, providing a comprehensive toolkit for both studio tracking and live performance. Unlike its portable sibling, the Pro version features significantly expanded I/O, making it much easier to integrate into a professional signal chain.
This unit has been fully tested in our shop and is in great working order. It features 24-bit AES/EBU and S/PDIF digital outputs, allowing for a direct, clean connection to your DAW or digital mixer. The front panel is laid out for speed, with dedicated knobs for drive, bass, mid, treble, and presence, as well as a dedicated reverb level. It also includes an onboard chromatic tuner and 36 user-programmable preset locations to save your favorite custom tones.
Cosmetically, the unit is in good shape with some typical minor rack wear on the chassis. The "Amp/Direct" switch on the rear allows you to optimize the output for either a guitar power amp and cabinet or a full-range recording setup, making this one of the most versatile modelers of its era.
