The Sterling Audio ST69 is a professional-grade, large-diaphragm tube condenser microphone that blends vintage warmth with modern high-frequency detail. At the heart of the ST69 is a hand-selected 6205 subminiature pentode tube (wired as a triode) and a custom-wound nickel-core output transformer, delivering a rich, Class-A analog sound. It is particularly well-known for its Disk Resonator system, which extends high-frequency response naturally without the need for aggressive EQ, making it an excellent choice for detailed vocals, acoustic guitars, and drum overheads.
This microphone offers three switchable polar patterns—cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8—providing immense versatility for different recording environments and techniques, such as M/S or Blumlein miking. The body is precision-machined from brushed stainless steel, giving it a sleek, durable, and premium feel in any studio setting.
This unit has been professionally tested in our shop and is fully functional. It delivers the silky-smooth mids and "airy" top end that these microphones are prized for. As a tube microphone, it requires its own dedicated power supply to operate (included).
