The Rode NT1 has earned a reputation as one of the most useful large-diaphragm condensers ever made at any price, and it's not hard to understand why. When Rode relaunched the NT1 name in 2013 they started from scratch — new capsule, new circuit, new body — and the result was a microphone with a noise floor so low (4.5dB self-noise) that it was essentially redefining what you could expect from an affordable studio condenser. The HF6 capsule voices the NT1 with a detailed midrange, smooth and extended high end, and warm round bass, with none of the exaggerated presence peaks that make a lot of budget condensers tiring to listen to on vocals. It's a mic that works on a wide range of voices, plays nicely with acoustic instruments, and handles high SPL sources without flinching. A lot of records have been made with this microphone.
This one is in excellent condition — clean body, the ceramic coating is holding up well, and everything functions as it should. Includes the Rode SM6 shockmount with integrated pop filter, which on its own is a genuinely well-designed piece of hardware. It's a complete, ready-to-record package.
