The Snare Mic is Lauten Audio's purpose-built FET condenser designed from the ground up for snare drum capture — not an instrument mic pressed into service, but a microphone engineered specifically around the sonic demands of the snare. The 32mm cardioid capsule uses the same dual-bias circuitry found in Lauten's award-winning Synergy Series, hand-tuned for chest-pounding fundamental frequencies, stick crack, and the full dynamic range of a live snare drum. At 4.2 inches it fits in placement locations that a full-size mic can't reach, and its vibration-resistant capsule handles both stand and rim-mount applications without complaint. The solid brass headframe and mildew-resistant dust filter keep it protected on stage and in the studio. Up to 28dB of off-axis rejection keeps cymbal bleed and kit leakage under control, and six onboard filter combinations — three high-cut settings and three low-cut settings — let you shape the frequency response at the microphone rather than in the DAW. A genuinely thoughtful, well-executed tool for engineers who take snare sound seriously.
This unit is in excellent condition and fully functional throughout.
