Gibson L-00 Sunburst Vintage 1938 Acoustic Guitar w/ HSC Used

This is a killer as-is special with all the tone you would expect from the age and model. The body has been resprayed by Gibson some years ago, and the neck was reset. The bridge plate had an attempt of a patch repair, and the bridge has been shaved down to its limit. It's currently playing with 9/64" action at the 12th fret on both the treble and the bass side. There is an appropriate amount of relief in the neck and the truss rod works, but it is tightened to the upper end of its range currently. The frets are in very good shape, with just a small amount of wear in the cowboy chord area, particularly on the G & B strings. There is some repaired pitting in the fretboard in the same area. There are various cleats installed as crack repairs on the inside of the body, and there is much more deflection in the top than would ever be needed.

This would be great for someone who plays a slide or slide hybrid style. As it is it plays well in the open position, and otherwise is very playable if you specialize in delta blues. So for the right buyer, this is a very rare find as it sits.
It would be a worthy candidate for a rebuild to get it back to original spec should you be motivated or are a luthier.
