The Gold Tone CC-50 is widely considered the "gold standard" for entry-level banjos. Part of the Cripple Creek series, this openback model is designed specifically to offer the student or curious beginner an instrument that is easy to play, stays in tune, and sounds like a "real" banjo should. Unlike many budget options, the CC-50 features a maple rim and neck, providing a bright, percussive snap that is perfect for clawhammer or old-time styles.
This 2007 model is in **Very Good** condition. It has been well-cared for over the years and remains in fantastic shape overall. We would like to note a couple of small cosmetic dings on the fretboard around the 4th fret; these are purely superficial and do not impact playability or the feel of the neck.
If you’ve been looking for a way to "get your feet wet" in the world of five-string banjo without breaking the bank, this CC-50 is a reliable, high-quality choice that won't hold you back as you learn. It has been checked over and set up in our shop and comes with a gig bag.
