Vola Vasti, Cream, Gig Bag - Used
Vola Guitars is a Japanese boutique builder that has been quietly earning serious attention from players who find one and cannot put it down. Built in Japan to a standard that the Japanese guitar industry has been delivering consistently for decades, the Vasti is Vola's take on the T-style format — familiar in silhouette but genuinely their own in construction and specification. The ash body is light and resonant, the maple neck has Vola's own carve, and the Gotoh hardware throughout puts this guitar in a different category than similarly priced production instruments. The hand-wound Vola pickup set pairs a VTS Tele-style single-coil at the neck with a VDR mini-humbucker in the ashtray-style bridge — a combination that delivers a strong, cutting, brightly voiced Tele character with more body and punch from the bridge position than a traditional single-coil alone. A pretty sweet guitar, as advertised.
One practical note worth knowing before purchase: the protective plastic film on the pickguard is stubbornly adhered and has not been removed — not damage, just a film that does not want to cooperate. The guitar underneath is fine.
Condition is Very Good. There is one good dent on the bottom edge of the body — visible in the photos — and otherwise the guitar is in great shape with nothing else significant to report. Check the photos. Currently strung with 9s. Comes with a gig bag.
