The poplar body is lightweight and well balanced, the bound roasted maple neck adds tonal stability and a touch of visual flair, and the dual humbucker configuration — an SQR Rail in the bridge and an Atomic humbucker in the neck — delivers a versatile range of genre-defying tones with zero hum. Despite the rail-style pickup looking single-coil at a glance, it is built for serious output, and through the 3-way switch this guitar covers everything from heavy rhythm tones to surprisingly clean, articulate playing. The string-through-body hardtail bridge maximizes resonance and sustain, and the stealthy black hardware against the painted matching headstock gives it a sharp, modern look.
Set up with low action and ready to shred. This one plays exactly like a Telecaster should while delivering the heavier-gain versatility the Contemporary series was built for.
