David Grissom spent over twenty years working with PRS to refine his signature instrument, and the result was the DGT — essentially a hot-rodded McCarty with vintage-voiced humbuckers, a unique neck carve, taller frets, and a streamlined control layout designed for a working musician who needs to focus on playing rather than fighting the guitar. The SE DGT brought that design to a more accessible price point for the first time, and it does so without meaningfully compromising what makes the original special. Individual volume controls for each pickup, a push/pull master tone that taps both humbuckers simultaneously for genuinely useful single-coil tones, and a pickup selector positioned back behind the bridge so your strumming hand never catches it mid-song. The PRS tremolo is smooth and stable, and the vintage-voiced DGT "S" humbuckers deliver a warm, musical character that covers classic rock, blues, and country with real authority.
One detail worth noting honestly: a previous owner sanded the back of the neck to a satin finish. This is a deliberate and common modification among players who prefer a faster, less sticky feel under the hand, and it does not affect structural integrity, finish protection beyond the neck back, or function in any way. We are disclosing it because that is how we do things. Set up with nice low action and playing very well.
Condition is Very Good with only very minor signs of cosmetic use beyond the noted neck modification. Check the photos for the full picture. Comes with the PRS gig bag.
