PRS Core Studio 10 Top, Faded Whale Blue, Hardshell Case - Used - Mint
The PRS Studio is one unique bird! Where most PRS Core guitars are built around a humbucking voice, the Studio takes a different approach entirely — two Narrowfield single-coil pickups in the neck and middle positions paired with a 58/15 LT humbucker at the bridge, all running through a 5-way blade switch and a push/pull tone control for seven total pickup combinations. The result is a guitar that can genuinely cover clean Stratocaster-style clarity, vintage scooped middle tones, and full humbucking power without compromise or approximation. It is a true desert island guitar in the best sense of the phrase — the one instrument you would take if you could only take one.
This one is a 10 Top, meaning the figured maple top was hand-selected at the factory for exceptional figuring. The Faded Whale Blue finish is worth a specific note: the color has shifted from its original shade due to UV exposure, which is a known and documented characteristic of certain PRS nitrocellulose finishes. This is not a defect, not a refinish, and not damage — it is a natural consequence of the finish chemistry, well understood in the PRS community, and in the eyes of many players it only adds character. We are calling it out plainly because that is how we do things. The guitar itself is otherwise Mint — no scratches, no play wear, no marks of any kind.
As a player it is exactly what a Core PRS should be: a versatile workhorse that covers every tone you ask of it. The Pattern neck is comfortable and consistent across the whole range, the action is dialed in, and the guitar responds with that authoritative PRS clarity whether you are playing clean or pushing an amp hard. Comes with the original hardshell case.
