This 1979 Martin EM-18 is a rare and unique piece of Martin's history from their brief but well-regarded foray into electric solid-body guitars in the late 1970s. This is a high-quality, American-made instrument featuring a solid Maple & Mahogany body, delivering a warm, resonant, and articulate tone.

This guitar offers a surprisingly wide range of sounds, thanks to the original DiMarzio humbuckers and two mini-toggle switches. The wiring harness is original except for the 3 way toggle switch and tip (originals are in the case), and the electronics work perfectly. It's a solid player-grade instrument that is in overall nice shape for its age. Strap buttons have been changed. It has had some professional repairs to ensure its structural stability for years to come. The headstock, while never fully broken, had two cracks on each side of the nut that have been fully repaired and are now solid. Additionally, the headstock veneer around the "M" of the logo appears to have been reglued, and there is a visible hairline crack within the logo itself. This is a great-playing, rare Martin that is ready for its next chapter. It includes its original hardshell case.
