The AZ2204N is part of Ibanez's Prestige line, built in Japan by FujiGen, and the model was introduced in 2021. It pairs an alder body with a roasted maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dots. It has 22 jumbo stainless steel frets, a bone nut, and a Gotoh T1702B tremolo. Electronics are Seymour Duncan Fortuna pickups in an S/S/H layout, with Ibanez's dyna-MIX9 switching and Alter switch for nine tones. It's a good fit for players who want a modern, fast-playing guitar that can still cover classic single-coil and humbucker territory.
This one is in fantastic shape overall, but it isn't flawless, so here's the full rundown. There are a few dings in the neck that you can feel with your fingers. There are also one or two tiny finish chips on the body, and they're shown in the photos. Beyond that, it's in fantastic condition. The setup is dialed in and it plays great. The neck feels wonderful, and the stainless frets are flawless, super slinky and nice. The finish is a dark blue metallic. We don't have the exact factory color name, so we're not going to guess. The serial number is F2310172, which dates it to 2023.
