This 2001 Gibson Les Paul Standard is a powerhouse from a highly regarded era of Gibson production, now modified to maximize its utility and performance. Wrapped in a classic Honeyburst finish, this guitar has been thoughtfully upgraded for the serious player. The original 490R/498T pickups have been swapped for a set of Gibson PAF reproduction humbuckers, providing that legendary clarity and "bloom." To further enhance the tone, the pots and caps have been upgraded, and a bone nut has been professionally installed for superior tuning stability and sustain.
The most striking addition is the Bigsby tremolo, which adds smooth vibrato and a touch of vintage flair to this iconic single-cut. The condition is Very Good, showing finish and fret wear commensurate with its 25 years of age—nothing more than honest evidence of a guitar that has been played and appreciated. Structurally, it is as solid as they come, and it has been freshly set up in our shop to ensure it handles as well as it sounds.
Weighing in at a substantial 10.20 lbs, this Les Paul has the heft and resonance that many players crave for that classic sustain. It is an incredible player's instrument that bridges the gap between a standard production model and a custom-spec machine. It ships in its original Gibson hardshell case.
