This 1992 Fender Strat Plus is a fantastic example of one of Fender’s most highly regarded modern production models. Renowned for their high-performance features and impeccable build quality, Strat Plus models from this era are favorites among players for a reason. This one features the classic trio of Gold Lace Sensor pickups, delivering the crisp, bell-like chime of a vintage Stratocaster but with zero 60-cycle hum—the same tone favored by Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck in this era.
The guitar is in Very Good condition. The finish is in great shape generally, with no exposed wood, deep scratches, or large imperfections (please see pictures for detail). There is some wear on the frets, but it does not affect playability. It has just been professionally set up and plays great. The guitar weighs a reasonable 8 lbs 2 oz.
This model comes equipped with the sophisticated TBX tone control for expanded tonal shaping. The original Hipshot TremSetter has been removed but is included in the case, giving you the option to restore that unique stability feature if desired. The guitar also features the era-correct Wilkinson roller nut and locking tuners for superior tuning stability. It ships in its original rectangular hardshell case.
