This 2003 Fender Standard Stratocaster Satin is a great example of an underappreciated and relatively rare model produced for only four short years (2003–2006). This "Standard Satin" series featured a unique, smooth-to-the-touch finish that allows the body to resonate freely while providing a sleek, non-reflective look.
Thanks to a series of high-end, thoughtful upgrades this particular guitar has been transformed into a real pro-level beast- super versatile and full of character. The pickups have been replaced with a premium set of DiMarzio's: an Area '58 in the neck, an Area '67 in the middle, and a Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues 2 in the bridge—giving you classic Stratocaster chime in every position AND beefy lead tones—all without the 60-cycle hum.
Hardware upgrades are equally impressive, featuring a high-performance Babicz Full Contact Hardware bridge for increased sustain, Fender locking tuners for rock-solid stability, and a GraphTech nut and string tree to ensure smooth tuning. The pickguard and back cavity cover have also been updated to complete the look.
This guitar is in Very Good condition. The wear is entirely normal play-wear consistent with its age. The frets have plenty of life left in them, with only minor divots on the first few frets. It has just received a professional setup in our shop and plays exceptionally well. It weighs in at an even 8.00 lbs and comes with its original Fender gig bag.
