The select alder body with sculpted contours and deeply carved neck joint allows a nearly seamless transition from neck to body, and combined with the tapered neck heel it gives genuinely unimpeded access to all 22 frets — no twisting or contorting required to reach the highest notes. The quartersawn maple neck carries Fender's Modern D profile finished in smooth Ultra Satin, and the 10-14 inch compound radius maple fingerboard with Ultra rolled edges, medium-jumbo frets, and Luminlay side dots is built for speed and comfort in equal measure. The electronics are where this guitar earns the HSS designation in a serious way. A Haymaker humbucker sits in the bridge position, delivering thick, high-output tone with real authority for rock and heavier styles, while a pair of Ultra II Noiseless Hot Strat single-coils in the middle and neck positions provide rich, dynamic clean tones with absolutely no hum. The S-1 switch built into the volume knob splits the Haymaker into a single-coil voice, opening up traditional SSS Strat tonality from the same guitar — genuine dual-personality versatility from sparkling cleans to searing high-gain leads. The 2-point American Ultra synchronized tremolo with polished stainless steel block saddles, cold-rolled steel block, and pop-in arm delivers smooth, stable vibrato, and deluxe locking tuners keep everything in tune through aggressive playing. The 1-ply anodized aluminum pickguard and Sinister Red finish give this guitar a striking, modern presence that looks every bit as serious as it plays.
