The American Professional series arrived in 2017 as Fender's most comprehensive overhaul of the American Standard platform in years, and the changes were substantive rather than cosmetic. The headline feature is the V-Mod single-coil pickup system, designed by in-house pickup guru Tim Shaw using a proprietary blend of Alnico magnet types — each pickup voiced specifically for its position rather than being a one-size-fits-all single-coil design. The result is a pickup set with genuine vintage warmth in the neck, a balanced and clear middle position, and a bridge pickup with more output and presence than a traditional vintage-wound single-coil without sacrificing the classic Strat bite. The treble bleed circuit on the master volume knob maintains high-frequency clarity as you roll the volume back — a simple but genuinely useful addition that lets you clean up your tone without losing the sparkle. The Modern Deep C neck profile is one of the more thoughtfully developed neck shapes Fender has produced in recent memory — comfortable and substantial in the hand, with more shoulder than a typical C but without the bulk of a full U. Narrow-tall frets improve bending and fretting precision throughout the range. Bone nut, bi-flex truss rod, 2-point synchronized tremolo with pop-in arm, and Fender Deluxe staggered cast-sealed tuners round out a build that represents a genuine step forward from the American Standard it replaced.
In Olympic White with a maple neck and board, cream-tinted pickguard and knobs that match the body beautifully — this is one of the most classically correct Stratocaster color combinations Fender offers, and this example wears it perfectly. Superb condition throughout — minimal fret wear in the cowboy chord area that barely registers, no nicks or dings, just minor signs of play. Comes with the original molded hardshell case and trem bar.
