Fender American Professional II Stratocaster HSS, Mercury, Hardshell Case - Used
The American Professional II Stratocaster is Fender doing what Fender does best — taking sixty-plus years of refinement and asking where there is still room to improve. The answer, with the Am Pro II, turned out to be nearly everywhere that mattered: the neck got rolled fingerboard edges and a sculpted heel for genuine upper-fret access, the pickups became the V-Mod II series voiced individually for each position, and the bridge picked up a cold-rolled steel block that adds sustain and high-end clarity over the standard version. The HSS configuration adds a Double Tap humbucker at the bridge with a push-push coil split on the tone control, which means you have the full Strat single-coil voice in positions one through four and a genuine humbucker available when you need it. Six sounds, one guitar, zero compromises.
This one has been set up and is playing great — and it is, in the best possible sense, a very Strat-y Strat. Ready to go straight off the wall. The Mercury finish is one of the sharper-looking options in the Am Pro II lineup, a muted silver burst that reads as understated and professional on any stage.
Condition is Very Good. There are light surface scratches and minor pick wear consistent with a played instrument, nothing significant and nothing structural. Check the photos for specifics. Comes with an older Fender hardshell case — not the original case for this guitar, but a solid Fender case that will get it where it needs to go — along with the original case candy.
