Designed by Master Builder Greg Fessler at the Fender Custom Shop, this 2015 Classic Player Stratocaster is arguably the perfect confluence of vintage vibe and modern performance. While the foundation of this guitar is rooted in the mid-1960s—the peak period of Fender's cultural influence—look a little closer and you'll notice a few innovations aimed at improving playability & performance. Most notably, it swaps the traditional vintage radius for a flatter 12" fingerboard radius, allowing for huge bends without fretting out, and features a smooth, stable 2-point synchronized tremolo system.
This instrument is in Excellent condition and has clearly been a well-taken-care-of piece. The 3-color Sunburst finish over the alder body is vibrant and shows minimal signs of use. Under the hood, it features a set of "Grey Bottom" '69 Strat single-coil pickups, delivering that legendary Woodstock-era chime and punch. We have topped this guitar off with a fresh professional setup in our shop, ensuring it plays as good as it looks.
Weighing in at a comfortable 7.90 lbs, this Stratocaster has the resonance and feel of a much more expensive Custom Shop model. It ships in a handsome (non-Fender) hardshell case and includes the original strap, adjustment wrenches, and a portion of the original paperwork.
