The Player II Stratocaster is Fender's most significant refresh of the Mexican Stratocaster in years — not a cosmetic update, but a genuine rethink of the specifications that matter to working players. The Modern C neck profile with rolled fingerboard edges and satin urethane back finish feels broken in from the first chord. The 9.5" radius slab rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets is comfortable and consistent across the full range. The Player Series Alnico V single-coil pickups deliver crystalline highs, musical mids, and tight lows through the 5-way blade switch — the classic Strat voice updated with a bit more output and clarity than the previous generation. The ClassicGear tuners combine vintage styling with an 18:1 gear ratio for more precise tuning control than a standard vintage-spec tuner provides. The 2-point synchronized tremolo rounds out a package that is genuinely better than what Fender was producing at this price point five years ago.
Forest Green is one of the stronger color choices in the Player II lineup — a deep, rich green that reads dark and sophisticated on stage and pairs beautifully with the rosewood fingerboard. Set up by our shop and shredding. Very clean throughout.
