This is a fantastic and rare piece of ESP history from the legendary 1980s NYC 48th Street workshop era. These instruments were known for their impeccable craftsmanship and were the go-to choice for many professional players of the time. This guitar is a standout example, featuring a gorgeously figured flame maple cap over a swamp ash body and an equally breathtaking quilted maple neck.
This is a great player, delivering all the articulate twang and bite you'd expect from a high-end T-style guitar, thanks to its original Seymour Duncan pickups. It is in Very Good condition for its age, showing a couple of bumps and bruises from honest use. The only modifications are a set of changed saddles on the bridge and an extra screw hole under the pickguard from a previous installation. This is a resonant, inspiring, and unique vintage instrument from a golden era of boutique guitar building.
