The Epiphone SG Standard from the "Inspired by Gibson" collection recreates the legendary 1960s classic that powered the first generation of hard rock and heavy metal. Featuring a solid mahogany body and a comfortable 60s SlimTaper neck profile, this SG delivers the singing sustain and biting mid-range that the model is famous for. Equipped with Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers, it offers a versatile tonal palette that ranges from soulful blues to aggressive rock.
This 2022 model is in Very Good condition. The frets retain their full life and show almost no wear. Cosmetically, there are some stray surface scratches and one notable ding on the top located just above the pickguard (see dedicated photo). We also noted the presence of thin, 1-2" hairline finish cracks along each side of the fretboard at the nut. This is a relatively common occurrence on newer Epiphones; we have professionally secured these areas with specialty glue to ensure they are stable and pose no threat to the guitar's future structural integrity.
Weighing in at a classic 7.20 lbs, this SG is lightweight, resonant, and balanced. It has been fully inspected and set up in our shop, ensuring it plays as fast and smooth as an SG should. This guitar does not include a bag or case.
