Epiphone 2006 Les Paul Custom, Alpine White - Used
The Epiphone Les Paul Custom has been the access point to the Les Paul Custom look and feel for working players since the 1980s — the five-ply binding on top and back, the block inlays on the ebony fingerboard, the gold hardware, the multi-ply headstock binding, and the single-cutaway mahogany body that delivers the Les Paul's characteristic warmth and sustain. The Custom has always been the dressed-up version of the formula, and in Alpine White with gold hardware it is one of the most classically striking electric guitar aesthetics in existence. This one is a 2006 Chinese-made example — a period that produced consistently playable instruments — set up by our shop with nice low action and ready to rip. Classic rock tones, exactly as advertised.
The original tuners have been replaced with Planet Waves locking tuners — a practical and welcome upgrade that simplifies string changes and improves tuning stability, and a completely reversible modification. The guitar is otherwise stock to the best of our knowledge.
Condition is Very Good and we are being specific. There is lots of play wear throughout this guitar — surface marks, scratches, and honest wear consistent with an instrument that has been played and used over nearly twenty years. There are also some bigger blemishes worth calling out — visible in the photo series. We are not hiding anything: check every photo carefully before purchasing. Nothing structural, nothing that affects playability or tone, and the electronics are all fully functional. No case included.
