Charvel Jake E. Lee Signature Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 1, Pearl White - Used
Jake E. Lee is one of the most distinctive and influential guitarists of the 1980s hard rock era — best known for his legendary run as Ozzy Osbourne's lead guitarist on Bark at the Moon and The Ultimate Sin, and later with Badlands and Red Dragon Cartel. The guitar he's always been associated with is a modified white Strat he acquired in 1975, repainted pearl white by his roommate at Charvel, fitted with a black pickguard, and progressively hot-rodded over the years. The Pro-Mod So-Cal is Charvel's more accessible take on that iconic instrument — released in 2022 and built in Mexico to the same basic spec as the USA model at a fraction of the price.
The spec is genuinely impressive for the price point: alder body, bolt-on maple neck with graphite reinforcement and hand-rubbed satin back, 12"-16" compound radius rosewood fingerboard with rolled edges and 21 jumbo frets, Seymour Duncan JB SH-4 humbucker at the bridge, and a pair of DiMarzio SDS-1 DP111 single coils in the middle and neck positions — with the middle pickup reverse-slanted, just like Jake's original. Single volume control, 5-way selector, hardtail bridge. A fast, hot-rodded guitar with a great story behind it.
This one is in Very Good condition. The frets show wear throughout but nothing causing any playing issues. The saddles have some surface rust though everything is adjusting and intonating fine. Otherwise cosmetically excellent — the Pearl White finish with black pickguard looks great. No case included.
