Brian Moore C90P Custom Shop Electric Guitar– Circa 1990s – Includes Original Case – Used Very Good
Brian Moore Custom Guitars was founded in 1992 by Brian Moore and Patrick Cummings in Brewster, New York, with a mission to build genuinely boutique-quality instruments that blended fine art with modern engineering. The C90P represents the all-wood Custom Shop evolution of the company's original composite-bodied designs, and this example shows exactly why these guitars have developed such a devoted following among players who have spent time with one. The contoured mahogany body with a stunning highly figured quilted maple top in a striking green finish is a genuine showpiece — Brian Moore's curved top design was engineered not just for visual impact but for ergonomic comfort, reducing contact between the pick and the body to minimize pick scratches while also making the guitar noticeably more comfortable against the player. The bolt-on neck features birdseye maple — a figured grain pattern that is both visually striking and tonally bright — paired with a rosewood fingerboard. The HSH pickup configuration with Seymour Duncan pickups gives this guitar real tonal range, and the 5-way switch combined with a push-pull tone control opens up a genuinely wide variety of usable sounds, from clean single-coil tones to full humbucker output and everything in between. What sets the C90P apart from the standard C90 is the Wilkinson vibrato bridge with an integrated RMC piezo pickup system — a separate piezo volume control blends in a natural, acoustic-like voice alongside the magnetic pickups, giving this guitar a genuinely unique sonic palette that few electrics can match. The piezo system is fully functional on this example. Gold hardware throughout rounds out a build that is as visually cohesive as it is sonically versatile. The serial number is hand-signed on the back of the headstock, consistent with Brian Moore's Custom Shop production practice of personally signing and numbering each instrument.
This one is in great shape — no chips, dings, or scratches, with only minimal finish wear and some expected tarnishing on the gold hardware consistent with age. Minimal fret wear and the neck is in great shape throughout. Comes with the original case.
