The American Deluxe series represented Fender's most refined production Stratocaster during its run — the platform where the company's best hardware, electronics, and construction details came together at a price point below the Custom Shop. The HSH configuration is the most tonally versatile layout Fender offered on this platform, with humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions flanking a single-coil in the middle, giving the player the full range from thick and warm humbucker voice to the classic Strat chimey in-between tones. The alder body delivers the balanced, harmonically rich voice that has made it the standard Strat tonewood for generations, the maple neck with compound radius rosewood fingerboard is immediately fast and comfortable, and the contoured heel gives notably better upper-fret access than a standard Strat heel. The two-point tremolo, locking tuners, and contoured body — all hallmarks of the American Deluxe series — round out a guitar built for serious working players. Silverburst is a genuinely striking finish that photographs beautifully and commands attention on any stage — metallic, sophisticated, and relatively scarce on a Strat.
This one shreds and feels fantastic — hard to put down. At 8 pounds 3 ounces it has a solid, confident feel in the hands. Just a hint of fret wear in the first position that barely registers, pick scratches on the guard, and minor signs of play in the finish — otherwise presenting as cosmetically and structurally excellent. Comes with the original hardshell case.
