2000 Fender American Lone Star Stratocaster HSS – Sienna Sunburst – Includes Hard Case – Used Excellent
The Lone Star Stratocaster was Fender's first major hot-rodded take on the American Standard platform, introduced in the mid-1990s specifically to give players the classic Strat feel with the added punch and versatility of a bridge humbucker. It quickly developed a devoted following among blues and hard rock players who wanted single-coil sparkle without giving up the option of real humbucker output when the moment called for it. The ash body in Sienna Sunburst is a striking and increasingly hard-to-find finish — ash was used specifically on this color to let the natural wood grain show through the translucent burst, giving each example its own visual character. The maple neck and fingerboard deliver bright, articulate top end that pairs beautifully with the pickup configuration: two Texas Special single-coils in the neck and middle positions handle classic Strat tones with real vintage-inspired output, while a factory Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates humbucker sits in the bridge, delivering a thick, vocal, slightly vintage-voiced humbucker tone that has made the Pearly Gates a favorite among blues-rock players for decades. The 2-point synchronized tremolo and sealed tuners round out a guitar built specifically for gigging players who needed more tonal range than a standard Strat without sacrificing any of the playability.
This one is in superb shape — minimal fret wear, no scratches, chips, or dings, with only the most superficial signs of play and aging consistent with a guitar that has been well cared for. At 8 pounds 14 ounces it has a substantial, confident feel in the hands. Comes complete with the original hard case, all case candy, and original paperwork.
Note: a temporary sticker visible on the headstock in the photos has since been removed and is not present on the guitar.
