Gretsch G6636T Players Edition Black Falcon – Center Block – Bigsby – Includes Original Hardshell Case – Used Very Good
The Falcon is Gretsch's flagship — the guitar that has defined the upper tier of the Gretsch lineup since 1955 and remained one of the most visually commanding instruments in production guitar history ever since. The G6636T Players Edition takes that legacy and applies it to a format purpose-built for working performers: a slightly more compact 16-inch double-cutaway body rather than the traditional single-cutaway, a chambered spruce center block that controls feedback at stage volumes while preserving the warm, resonant hollowbody character, and a host of hardware upgrades that make the Falcon genuinely reliable night after night in a way that vintage-spec instruments sometimes struggle to be. The laminated maple body with spruce center block delivers the classic Gretsch voice — that complex, chimey, three-dimensional tone with a natural compression and bloom that solid-body guitars simply cannot replicate — while the center block keeps things controlled and focused when the volume goes up. High Sensitive Filter'Tron humbuckers in neck and bridge positions are the tonal engine, delivering the authentic Gretsch articulation and sparkle across clean and driven settings, with individual pickup volumes, a master volume, and master tone giving you precise and musical control over the full range. The Bigsby B7GP String-Thru vibrato is among the most expressive and reliable tremolo systems available on any production guitar, and the Gotoh locking tuners keep things in tune through even aggressive use. The ebony fingerboard with pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays, Anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge, and gold hardware throughout complete a guitar that is as visually impressive as it is tonally convincing. Made in Japan.
This one is in very nice shape — only minor surface marks as is typical with black finishes, very minor superficial fret wear, and some minor hardware aging consistent with use. Nothing structural, nothing dramatic. Set up and playing great. Comes with the original hardshell case and all case candy.
