Cozart Semi-Hollow S-Style Natural Excellent - Used
Cozart is a budget-friendly import brand that builds affordable electric guitars in familiar shapes, including S-style and semi-hollow designs. This one pairs the S-style shape with a chambered semi-hollow body, an HSS pickup layout, a 5-way selector and 21 frets. The chambering is aimed at giving a solid-body-style guitar a bit more air and resonance;l it suits players who want a lightweight, versatile S-style that doesn't sound like every other solid body!
This one plays very nicely, with the glossy finish on the back of the neck feeling sleek and making it easy a lot of fun to play. The chambering is very nicely done and gives the guitar some body and depth you don't get from most solid body guitars. It's HSS with no coil split option, with one volume knob and two tone knobs. Our tech cleaned it and set it up, and we note the truss rod moves well. It's strung with fresh D'Addario 10s. There is a small ding in the finish on the back of the body, toward where the plastic back plate meets the body. It doesn't affect playability.
