The Ibanez JEM Junior is the quintessential shred machine, designed to put the iconic features of Steve Vai’s legendary signature model into the hands of more players. Featuring the unmistakable "Monkey Grip" handle and the "Lion's Claw" tremolo rout, this guitar is built for high-performance acrobatics. The mahogany body provides a rich, resonant foundation, while the Wizard III maple neck offers the thin, fast profile that made Ibanez a staple of the virtuoso rock world.
This 2023 model is in Very Good condition. It features the modern Jatoba fretboard with the intricate "Tree of Life" inlay. The guitar has been well-maintained, with only a few stray surface scratches visible upon very close inspection. We have just performed a full professional setup in our shop, ensuring the double-locking tremolo system is balanced and the action is low and fast across all 24 jumbo frets.
Weighing in at 7.55 lbs, this JEMJR is perfectly balanced for technical play. The HSH pickup configuration (Quantum humbuckers and single-coil) provides a massive array of tones, from high-gain bridge screams to the distinctive "notched" clean sounds. This guitar does not include a bag or case.
