This 2021 Hagstrom '67 Viking II is a stunning reissue that captures the soul and style of the guitar famously played by Elvis Presley in his '68 Comeback Special. Featuring a slender, double-cutaway hollow body made from 5-ply Canadian Flame Maple, it delivers a resonant, airy tone with plenty of snap. The Vintage Sunburst finish and gold hardware give it an undeniably classic aesthetic.
This guitar is in Excellent condition and has been very well kept. It shows minimal play wear and has just been professionally set up to play great. The only cosmetic imperfection to note is a set of very small hairline cracks in the finish (not the wood) on the bass side of the nut; please see the last picture in the gallery for a close-up. Weighing in at a lightweight 6.75 lbs, it is incredibly comfortable. It features Hagstrom’s signature Resinator wood fingerboard and H-Expander truss rod for stability and articulation. It comes with the original Hagstrom hardshell case.
