The Gretsch Jet has been one of the defining shapes in electric guitar since 1953. Chet Atkins played one. Eddie Cochran played one. George Harrison played one through most of the early Beatles years. The single-cut chambered body, the Filter'Tron pickups, and the unmistakable Gretsch voice — clear, punchy, chimey, and full of personality — have stayed essentially intact across seven decades of production. The G5230T Electromatic Jet FT carries all of that DNA into the Electromatic line: chambered mahogany body with maple top, Black Top Filter'Tron pickups, Adjusto-Matic bridge, and a Bigsby vibrato that makes the whole instrument feel like an invitation to do something expressive.
This one has been set up by our shop and is ready to rock. The Bigsby is exactly what a Bigsby should be — smooth, musical, and immediately addictive. Cool and effortless from the moment you strap it on, the kind of guitar that just makes everything more fun. The controls give you full independent volume for each pickup plus a master volume with treble bleed and a master tone, so the range of available sounds is wider than it might look from the outside.
Condition is Very Good. There are signs of cosmetic use throughout — surface wear and light marks consistent with a played instrument — but nothing structural and nothing that affects playability or tone. Check the photos for specifics. Comes with a hardshell case.
