Fender Player II Stratocaster – Black – 2025 – Used
The Player II series landed in 2024 as a meaningful step up from the Player series it replaced, and players who've spent time with both tend to agree that Fender got it right. Built in Ensenada, Mexico, the Player II brings several improvements that matter: rolled fingerboard edges that make the neck feel broken in from day one, Alnico V single-coil pickups with noticeably more clarity and character than the previous generation, a Modern-C neck profile with a satin urethane back that stays fast and comfortable through long sessions, and ClassicGear tuners that combine vintage aesthetics with a smooth 18:1 gear ratio. The alder body gives it that balanced, full-spectrum Strat tone — glassy and articulate in the neck position, bright and punchy at the bridge, and all the classic in-between tones the 5-way blade was made for. This particular example is black over a maple fretboard with a black pickguard and cream pickup covers and knobs — a sharp, understated look that never goes out of style and photographs beautifully.
This one is in excellent condition and barely played — the protective plastic is still on the pickguard. There are only minor finish marks, the neck is straight, frets show no wear, and it plays great. We set it up through the shop and it's ready to go.
