In the 1990s, the bulk of Epiphone's production hailed from the legendary Samick factory in Korea. In the decades since, it has become apparent that this era of Epiphone electrics represents some of the best import guitars ever produced. This 1995 Les Paul Special Double Cut is a prime example of why these instruments are considered one of the smartest "pound-for-pound" investments you can make for your rig.
This guitar is in Very Good condition—though many would argue "Excellent" given that it has recently entered its fourth decade of life. It exhibits typical, mild signs of use, including some fine finish scratches and modest fret wear that does not impact playability. Having just received a professional setup in our shop, it is ready for the stage, the studio, or the sofa.
Weighing in at 8.30 lbs, it has the substantial feel of a real Les Paul while the double-cutaway design provides effortless access to the upper frets. It comes complete with its original Epiphone hardshell case.
