This 17-inch archtop captures the elegance of John D'Angelico's original designs, featuring the iconic "stair-step" tailpiece, oversized headstock with mother-of-pearl inlays, and the signature gold hardware that defines the brand's visual identity.
Constructed with a laminated spruce top and laminated flame maple back and sides, this Excel delivers a warm, woody acoustic resonance while providing the feedback resistance necessary for amplified performances. The single floating mini-humbucker is mounted to the pickguard, allowing the top to vibrate freely for maximum tonal depth.
