Cort SL2, Red, Electric Guitar - Used
The Cort SL2 is not a guitar you see every day. Built in Korea in the mid-1980s during Cort's early push into the electric guitar market, the SL2 is a short-scale double cutaway with a silhouette that nods toward the Fender Lead and Mustang without quite being either of them. The body is notably thin — about an inch of depth — which contributes to a featherweight 5 lbs even and a playing feel that is genuinely its own thing. Two single-coil pickups, two volume controls, one tone control, and an adjustable bridge. Simple, functional, and surprisingly musical for what it is.
This one has a great retro vibe — the kind of quirky, cool instrument that turns heads in a rehearsal room and plays better than anyone expects. It is fun to pick up and fun to play, with that short scale making it easy and comfortable under the hands. Set up and ready to go.
Condition is Good. This is a 40-year-old instrument and it looks it — there are paint chips, dings, and surface wear consistent with its age and history. Nothing structural, nothing that affects playability, and the electronics are working cleanly. Check the photos carefully for the specifics on cosmetic condition. No case included.
