Sun Guitars Apricot Blonde T-Style Electric Guitar Lollar Pickups Mastery Trem

For sale is a wicked cool, wicked custom T-style electric guitar in very good condition. This Sun"branded guitar was finished in 2016 for a Northampton, MA -based working artist and is now being released into the wild! The body is a USA-made one piece swamp ash slab that was finished with an organic hard-wax oil transparent "Apricot Blonde" color and has a gorgeous soft- satin, open-pour texture. The neck is a MusiKraft USA large 50s-profile maple neck with medium frets, 9.5" radius, and a thin satin Nitro finish. Completed with Gotoh vintage-style tuners and a hand made bone nut. The headstock was in an-house shape designed to capture the traditional look. The pickups are Lollar USA with a traditional bakelite guard; CTS pots with high quality wiring components; backwards-oriented control plate with added luscious fourth position for both pickups in parallel. Nickel aged hardware that matches the Mastery tremolo beautifully. Overall weight is nice and balanced at 9 lbs or so. Cosmetic wear and tear and minor fretwear (see photos), one major chunk/impression on the edge of the body.
Sun Guitars was a short collaboration between the founders of Birdhouse Music and Mill River Music, assembled and finished by Jon Aronstein of MRM. Several dozen were made between 2014-2016, all with very high quality parts, custom finishes, and quality craftsmanship. The triple tree string tree was made here on Main St. Northampton by Northampton Jewelery.
