For sale is c.1999 Suhr USA Quilt Maple Top #285 in excellentcondition with hardshell case. This is an early build from John Suhr not long after he left the Fender Custom Shop in 1997 when getting established building high-end guitars to customer spec. It is similar to a Suhr Modern Quilt outfitted with a Floyd Rose tremolo system and premium birdseye maple neck. The guitar is loaded with Dimarzio high output pickups wired with a five way switch, master volume, master tone. The neck is a perfect modern C shape with premium birdseye maple figuring, soft satin finish with 24 medium frets, rosewood fingerboard, Sperzel tuners, heel adjust truss rod. The body appears to be lightweight alder capped with a beautiful Quilt Maple Top with a gloss amber finish. This guitar is has seen very little play with only one minor blemish near the output jack on the underside of the guitar and some hardware oxidation (see photo). Overall weight: 7lbs 5oz.
