Sadowsky NYC #522 Owned by Bill Frisell S-Style HSS Electric Guitar c.1989 w/ HSC

For sale, in very good condition - Sadowsky NYC S-Style HSS Electric Guitar Owned by Bill Frisell c.1989 with hardshell case. This guitar, #522, was originally commissioned by renown jazz guitarist Bill Frisell and is a wonderful example of early Sadowsky vision and execution. Note both Roger Sadowsky and former Fender master builder J.Black's names are imprinted on the back of the headstock.

It is an S-style solid body electric with maple neck and a unique and versatile 3-pickup coordination - one bridge humbucker, one Sadowsky single coil in the middle position with a tele-style neck pickup that all sound supreme in every switch setting. Wired with a 5-way switch and single Master Volume and tone controls. Equipped with a 2TEK bridge/plate system at some point in its life for exceptional resonance, clarity and sustain due to the isolated block or "tonal finger" for each string. Otherwise, the guitar is original and shows some fretwear, standard signs of cosmetic wear and tear from normal play, a few marks/impressions on the neck/headstock (see photos for detail).
