For sale is a a 1996 Gibson Custom Historic '60 Les Paul Special Double Cut in excellent condition for its age. At Mill River Music, any Junior or Special gets a lot of attention from employees and customers alike, and this '60 Historic model may be the sweetest one to arrive yet! Serial Number 0 6008 indicates this is a very early-production 1960 Reissue Model that was produced with minor variations from 1996 until 2006 when it was updated with the introduction of VOS finishes. There is a misprint from Gibson marked "Junior" instead of "Special" that is indeed original to this build.
It features a solid mahogany body, Slim '60s neck with rosewood fretboard, wraparound tailpiece and two soapbar P90s that come together for an overall sound and feel that is very close to the vintage original. Total weight of 7 lbs 6 oz for a balanced feel and beautiful resonance overall .There are signs of minor cosmetic wear and tear on the finish, hardware and some minor fretwear (see photo series). Included is a Gibson USA padded gig bag. We do not have the original case or certificate.
