This 2009 Gibson R8 is a super sweet one! The guitar features a big, chunky neck with nice low action, and it plays effortlessly. The gorgeous lemonburst plain top shows off classic Gibson style, and despite a few cosmetic blemishes—including a small finish chip on the headstock—the instrument presents beautifully overall with excellent finish quality.
The frets are in great shape with just a few small impressions in the open D chord position, leaving many years of life ahead. It’s simply a syrupy-sweet player with all of the Gibson goods you’d hope for in a top-tier Historic model.
It has just been set up in our shop and is playing like butter. At 8 lbs 15 oz, it has the right heft and resonance without being overly heavy. Includes the original hard case, COA, and case candy.
