The Ibanez SD-9 is the distortion counterpart to the classic TS9. It retains the smooth character you might expect from a vintage Tube screamer but with more gain on top and more low end. A classic complaint with this circuit is that the sound becomes very scooped as you turn up the tone. With the Analogman Supermod, the tone control becomes usable across the whole dial as well as reducing compression, opening up the pedal for an awesome rock sound.
