The ProCo Fat Rat retains more EQ integrity than other Rats by having a "fat" switch that boosts bass frequencies while acting as a high cut. It makes it smoother, with a thicker tone, and suitable for lower tunings or bass players. Additionally, the switchable tone circuit lets you stick to the standard Rat silicon clipping or play through a Mosfet clipping section, which scoops and smooths out the midrange. The result is a more adaptable Rat for a different range of playing styles.
