The Tiny Amp Destroyer is a limited-edition collaboration between JAM Pedals and Stu Mackenzie of King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. On recent KGLW records Stu got his guitar sound by running two JAM Boomsters into a tiny $30 pawn shop amp and pushing it way past where it was meant to go. JAM tracked down the same amp, studied where it starts to come apart, and built that crunchy, boxy, compressed small-amp sound into a pedal. Stu took a prototype on the band's 2025 Athens residency, said "You nailed it," and used it for the rest of the tour.

It isn't a polished distortion. The gain is split into two stages, G1 and G2, that you can run on their own or stack, so it goes from low-gain breakup to dense, saturated distortion. A separate treble booster based on JAM's Rooster sits at the front of the chain to tighten the low end and push the gain stages harder, or it can be used by itself. Active bass and treble, a Notch control and the Magic switch let it lean into that blown-out tiny-amp character or sit as a full-range drive that holds its place in a mix. It works into a clean or dirty amp with any guitar.

Artwork is by Jason Galea, the artist behind much of King Gizzard's album and poster art. Handmade by JAM Pedals in Athens, Greece.
