Sears Rhythm-Matic II Analog Drum Machine, 1960s - Used
The Sears Rhythm-Matic II is a vintage 1960s analog drum machine — the kind of gloriously primitive beat box that predates the TR-808 by a decade and has its own completely unique character for it. These were sold through Sears as standalone rhythm units, designed to pair with home organs of the era, but they've long since found a second life in the hands of producers, lo-fi enthusiasts, and vintage gear collectors who appreciate exactly what they are: a little box of wonderfully weird analog percussion that nothing else quite sounds like. Cute and fun as heck, with some genuinely nice vintage vibes.
This one is fully functional and ready to use — all rhythm patterns working, internal speaker operating as it should. The front grille sits a little askew but does not affect function in any way; sold as-is. Cosmetically it shows wear consistent with its age — see photos for detail. No footswitch or accessories included.
