This is a classic 1960s-era pair of 14-inch A Zildjian hi-hats, representing the versatile, workhorse sound that defined a decade of jazz, rock, and soul. These cymbals feature the distinctive 1960s "Keystone" style stamp, a period highly regarded for its rich B20 bronze and musicality. As is typical for cymbals of this vintage, the original ink logos are no longer visible, but the deep-pressed Avedis Zildjian roll stamps confirm their authenticity and heritage.
This pair features a sought-after weight spread, with the top cymbal coming in at 900 grams and the bottom at 1250 grams. This combination provides a solid, chunky "chick" sound and a bright, articulate stick response that sits perfectly in a mix. The 1250g bottom cymbal has been professionally modified with three factory-style rivet holes, allowing you to add sizzle rivets for a touch of trashy, complex wash if desired.
The cymbals are in good overall condition. While they show the tarnish, stains, and patina typical of 60-year-old bronze, they have been thoroughly inspected and are free of cracks or keyholing. The edges are smooth and the structural integrity remains excellent. This is a fantastic player's grade set of vintage Zildjians that are ready to go back to work.
