Squier Classic Vibe '70s Jazz Bass – Black – Used Very Good
The Jazz Bass has been a studio and stage workhorse since 1960, and the 1970s were arguably the decade that cemented its reputation as an irreplaceable tool. Players discovered what the instrument could do in the hands of someone like Jaco Pastorius — that growling, articulate, deeply musical voice that sits in a band mix like nothing else. Squier's Classic Vibe '70s Jazz Bass is a genuine tribute to that era rather than a watered-down approximation, built with period-correct details that matter: the bridge pickup is positioned in the '70s spacing, closer to the bridge for that extra snap and bite that distinguishes the decade's sound from earlier J Bass configurations. The maple neck and fingerboard give it a bright, responsive top end, the slim C-profile is comfortable and fast, and the Fender-designed Alnico single-coil pickups deliver the real deal — warm and round from the neck, punchy and cutting from the bridge, and that classic scooped growl when you run them both together. In black with a black pickguard and black block inlays against the maple board, this one has a sharp, understated look that works just as well on a dark stage as it does in a practice room.
Condition is very good — structurally excellent, cosmetically really nice, with basic signs of play and one tiny ding on the neck finish. Nothing that affects playability or sound. Set up through our shop and ready to go.
