The SR line has earned its reputation the hard way — decades of players reaching for it because it simply works. Slim, fast neck, lightweight body, comfortable ergonomics, and a versatile platform that takes well to upgrades. This particular SR300 has been meaningfully improved over stock: the original electronics have been professionally replaced with Nordstrand pickups wired to a passive circuit, which opens up a warmer, more organic voice than the active preamp the bass ships with. Nordstrand makes some of the most respected aftermarket bass pickups available, and the passive setup here gives this bass real character — clear, punchy, and responsive in a way that rewards a player's touch. The gorgeous rosewood fretboard adds to that warmth, and the metallic orange finish is genuinely striking — one of those colors that photographs well and looks even better in person.
Condition is very good — there are a few small nicks here and there consistent with normal use, nothing that affects playability or detracts from the overall look. Set up well through our shop and strung with D'Addario tapewound strings, which pair nicely with the passive setup for a smooth, focused tone.
