Here's a 1978 Fender J Bass in great playing condition. This beauty has been professionally refinished in Olympic White and outfitted with a pair of EMG pickups and it's a serious tone machine! The refinish, updated pickups, and excellent condition of the bass makes this one feel much more modern than a '78 –– it's fresh enough that you'll be surprised this one is 40+ years old. Other features include a replacement Leo Quan Badass II Bass bridge, bound maple neck and maple fretboard with block inlays, white 3-ply pickguard. Beautiful!! This one is sure to make a J-bass lover very happy and will last for years to come in the right hands.
Shows some minor cosmetic wear, most notably a crack in the fretboard at the first fret that doesn't affect playability (see photo) plus some screw holes where the ashtray bridge cover was removed as well as some minor cosmetic signs of play. In very nice shape overall, with a fresh setup from our shop. Includes the original hardshell case which is a bit beat up, covered in stickers and has a broken latch, but it's structurally sound.
Nut Width: 1 1/2"
Weight: 11.2 lb
