Victory Kraken VX MKII 50-Watt Tube Amplifier Head - Used
The Victory VX Kraken MKII is the evolution of the award-winning compact high-gain head, designed in collaboration with Rabea Massaad. Built in the UK, this 50-watt tube powerhouse is a versatile beast that spans the gap between classic British crunch and aggressive American high-gain. While the original Kraken was a favorite for metal and progressive players, the MKII adds a dedicated footswitchable Clean mode to Gain I, making it a true three-voice amplifier capable of everything from pristine cleans to searing lead tones.
This MKII version introduces several highly requested features, including a front-panel Presence control for fine-tuning the power amp's bite and a Presence Shift switch on the rear for added high-end sizzle. The addition of dual footswitchable master volumes allows for a dedicated solo boost on any channel, while the Bass Focus switch gives you total control over the low-end response—allowing you to choose between a tight, modern "djent" feel or a more loose, vintage resonance.
This unit is in excellent condition and has been fully tested in our shop. It is a true 50-watt amp that can easily fill a stage, but it also features a 9-watt low-power mode for home practice and recording. At just under 16 lbs, it is the ultimate portable pro-rig for the traveling musician.
